Andrea Salinas, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Oregon's 6th District since 2023, has recently addressed several issues concerning federal workers and healthcare facilities in a series of tweets. Salinas, who previously served in the Oregon House of Representatives from 2017 to 2023, highlighted her ongoing efforts to support Oregonians.
On March 20, 2025, Salinas shared that she and her colleagues held a town hall for federal workers allegedly fired by Elon Musk and the Trump Administration. She stated: "My Oregon colleagues & I recently held a town hall for federal workers who were illegally fired by Elon Musk & the Trump Administration. Their stories were painful & highlighted an important truth: Cutting these jobs will directly impact the lives & safety of all Oregonians."
In another tweet on the same day, Salinas emphasized the dedication of these workers to public service. She wrote: "From fighting wildfires to caring for our veterans, these workers are dedicated to serving the American people. They deserve better. I will continue supporting the efforts of @ORDOJ to stop the Admin's illegal actions & protect access to critical services for Oregonians."
Later that day, Salinas discussed her legislative initiatives aimed at improving healthcare infrastructure. She tweeted: "My legislation addresses this problem by helping facilities expand their capacity to treat people while also supporting the construction of new, specialized facilities for behavioral health crisis care."
