Congresswoman Andrea Salinas, representing Oregon's 6th District since 2023, recently addressed various topics on social media. Salinas, who has a background in the Oregon House of Representatives and holds a degree from the University of California, Berkeley, shared her views on trade policies, mental health awareness for new mothers, and healthcare challenges.

On March 23, 2025, Salinas expressed her concerns about President Trump's approach to tariffs. She stated that while tariffs can be effective when used strategically, "President Trump is being totally reckless." Salinas emphasized the need for smart trade policies that protect small businesses and create jobs.

In another post dated March 24, 2025, she highlighted the emotional challenges new mothers may face. She noted that "having a baby can bring up a whole host of emotions for new moms," including unexpected ones like sadness and anxiety. Salinas urged awareness of postpartum depression symptoms as part of #MentalHealthMonday.

Later on March 24, Salinas discussed her visit to Bridgeway Community Health in Salem. She mentioned learning about their mission and capacity issues. To address these challenges, she announced introducing a bill in Congress aimed at connecting more patients with treatment options. "I just introduced a bill in Congress to address this problem & connect more patients with treatment," she stated.
