Polina Latysheva, a former Westside Christian High School basketball standout, played a key role for her current collegiate team, the UT Tyler Patriots, as they secured a 66-56 victory over the West Texas A&M Buffaloes in the NCAA Division II Tournament on Friday, March 13.
The matchup was held at Kitty Magee Arena with tipoff at 2:30 p.m.
Latysheva posted six points, grabbed six rebounds and provided three assists over 40 minutes of play.
UT Tyler’s next contest is scheduled for Saturday, March 14, with a 4 p.m. tipoff at Kitty Magee Arena.
