Linn County Sheriff's Office issued the following announcement on Apr. 30.
Thank you American Legion-Post 10 for your generous donation! Their Commander, David Solomon, participated in our last Citizen’s Academy. He saw Lieutenant Steve Looney’s love and dedication for the dogs he cares for during the Animal Control presentation.
Commander Solomon rallied the American Legion and donated over 400 pounds of dog food, toys, bedding and $1100 to go towards the care of the dogs housed here.
Thank you to the American Legion-Post 10 and Commander Solomon.
Also, a special thank you to Lieutenant Steve Looney for caring so much about these dogs that you move others to help.
