The City of Oregon City Public Works is looking for an Asset Management Specialist responsible for managing the City’s Public Works Asset Management program. This position is based out of the Operations Center in support of field and management staff, but also works closely with GIS and IT departments. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background using and configuring Asset Management software. They will support hardware (laptop) and mobile devices (phone and iPad) used in operations and oversee all aspects of our Lucity Asset Management program. This position is responsible for tracking and organizing Public Works assets and maintenance plans. This person prepares daily work orders, provides operational and maintenance reports, and tracks assets including water, sanitary, storm, street, pump stations, and pipe inspections (using Granite).
The Asset Management Specialist will work in a dynamic environment in order to manage, schedule and predict asset repair / replacement. The position also may support other citywide applications as necessary and participate in overall IT support with the IT Department. The position will develop reports from electronic databases to include financial impact and predictive maintenance. The ideal candidate should have a strong technical skill set supporting software, hardware, and critical applications. Identifying opportunities and implementing improvements to existing systems is key to this position.
The City is looking for a candidate with a positive, thoughtful, and technical approach to Public Works operational issues. Experience in training and supporting others who use the system is required. This position works closely with GIS and IT staff who support aspects of the Asset Management program.
