We would like to congratulate the graduates of our 2023 Citizen’s Academy!
Each attendee spent the last seven Tuesday evenings learning about various assignments and disciplines within our department. Some of the classes they attended were: department history, patrol tactics, officer wellness, peer support, drones, investigations, polygraphs, evidence processing, search and seizure, & use of force. They also had classes taught by our Homeless Liaison Officer, Behavior Health Specialist, Detectives, Traffic Team, K-9’s, SWAT and CNT. A special thanks the Clackamas County Sheriff's Office for the tour of their jail and Clackamas 911 - CCOM for the tour of their dispatch center. Finally they finished learning about and doing scenarios in our new VirTra, Inc. 180 simulator.
