Congresswoman Andrea Salinas, representing Oregon's 6th District, recently shared updates and reflections on social media. Salinas, who has been serving in the U.S. Congress since 2023 after a tenure in the Oregon House of Representatives, took to Twitter to discuss local developments and community events.
On October 31, 2024, Salinas expressed her pride in speaking at the grand opening of Mahonia Crossing. She described it as "a new affordable & intergenerational housing community in #Salem." The congresswoman highlighted that Mahonia Crossing will provide essential housing for diverse groups including families, seniors, agricultural workers, and wildfire victims. "Mahonia Crossing will provide a safe place to live for families, seniors, ag workers, wildfire victims, & so many others in our community who need it."
Later that day on October 31st, Salinas extended Halloween greetings to her constituents in Oregon's 6th District. She wished everyone a safe and enjoyable evening filled with treats and festive spirit. "Happy Halloween, #OR06! Wishing everyone a safe and fun night filled with treats—and maybe a visit from your own 'Great Pumpkin'!"
Following Halloween celebrations on November 1st, Salinas reflected on the previous night's festivities. She shared that both she and her district team enjoyed celebrating the holiday together while donning costumes. "I hope everyone had a fun and safe Halloween yesterday. My district team and I sure had a great time celebrating with our costumes! #OR06"
