On February 1, 2025, Salinas criticized a Republican initiative, stating: "Let’s be clear: This is just another Republican Rip Off that will hurt working families in my district. President Trump needs to abandon this foolish scheme and start working with Congress on real solutions that will actually bring down costs."

In another post dated February 3, 2025, she highlighted the Trump Administration's stance towards immigrant communities. She emphasized the importance for Oregonians to understand their legal rights when interacting with ICE: "In light of the Trump Administration’s ongoing threats to immigrant communities, it's important for Oregonians to know their rights if approached or detained by ICE." She directed constituents to resources and provided contact information for her office.

Later that day, Salinas focused on mental health amid uncertain times. She urged individuals to prioritize their mental well-being: "In uncertain times, stress is natural – but it's important to prioritize your mental wellbeing and focus on what you can control." She shared a link offering tips for managing stress and maintaining mental health.
