Congresswoman Andrea Salinas, representing Oregon's 6th District since 2023, has expressed her concerns on various issues through recent social media posts. Salinas, who previously served in the Oregon House of Representatives from 2017 to 2023, is actively addressing matters impacting her constituents and state.

On February 3, 2025, Salinas highlighted the impact of trade policies on local industries. She stated that "Canada buys more Oregon wine than any other country—about 50%." She criticized former President Donald Trump's trade policies, asserting that they "will directly harm wineries in my district," along with other Oregon industries. Salinas called for a change in course by urging the current administration to stop what she described as a "reckless tax on our growers and small businesses."

In another post dated February 4, 2025, Salinas accused Donald Trump of compromising citizens' privacy for personal gain. She claimed that "Donald Trump gave Elon Musk full access to your private data—just so he can use it to steal from taxpayers & line his own pockets." Salinas emphasized her commitment to working with colleagues to halt what she termed an "illegal power grab" and protect both privacy and public funds.

Later that day, Salinas shared insights from a visit to Willamette University. In her tweet, she mentioned having "a great visit at @willamette_u," where she met with President Thorsett and learned about key programs such as Oregon’s only immigration law clinic. She expressed inspiration from meeting faculty and students whose work is poised to positively affect families within her district and across the state.
