On February 12, 2025, Congresswoman Salinas tweeted about the potential impact on food assistance programs: "Finally, Republicans want to cut benefits and take food off the tables of over 45,000 veterans, seniors, and children in #OR06 who depend on SNAP." This statement highlights her concern for those relying on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) within her district.

In another tweet posted on the same day, Salinas addressed healthcare concerns: "132,646 people in our district who rely on Medicaid are at risk of losing their health care under the Republican Rip Off plan. That includes 60,474 children under the age of 19 and 9,938 seniors." She emphasizes the significant number of individuals potentially affected by changes to Medicaid.

Later that day, Salinas sent a message to federal workers in her district: "My message to federal workers in #OR06: I have your back. I will not allow billionaires like @POTUS or Elon Musk to take away your jobs, your pensions, and everything you have worked so hard to achieve—just so they can make themselves even richer." Her tweet underscores her commitment to protecting federal employees from economic policies she views as detrimental.
