On February 12, 2025, Congresswoman Salinas tweeted about the potential impact of the Republican healthcare plan on individuals covered under the Affordable Care Act in Oregon's 6th District. She stated that "Under the Republican Rip Off plan, 20,000 people who receive coverage under the Affordable Care Act in #OR06 would see their average premium go up by $1,040 per year — a 38% increase."

In another tweet posted on the same day, Salinas criticized a newly released plan by House Republicans. She expressed concern over what she described as financial inequity inherent in the proposal: "House Republicans just released their plan to steal from working families so they can give $2 trillion in tax breaks to their rich friends. They're trying to rip off the American people—and you deserve to know about it."

Salinas further elaborated on her opposition to these plans with a commitment from House Democrats to counteract them.
