Congresswoman Andrea Salinas, representing Oregon's 6th District since 2023, has recently shared her perspectives on several critical issues via social media. The Congresswoman, who has a background in the Oregon House of Representatives and holds a degree from the University of California, Berkeley, is known for her active engagement in public policy matters.

On March 10, 2025, Salinas expressed concern over the recent firing of employees by the Department of Health and Human Services' Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). In her tweet, she stated: "DOGE recently fired hundreds of @samhsagov employees whose work is vital to reducing mental illness, suicide, and addiction. I led a letter urging @SecKennedy to reverse these reckless cuts and ensure Americans don't lose access to critical services like the @988Lifeline."

Later that day, Salinas attended a gathering at the State Capitol with fellow Oregonians to advocate for scientific progress. She tweeted: "I was proud to join hundreds of Oregonians at the State Capitol to stand up for science & our collective future. POTUS' & Elon Musk's attacks on scientific innovation are at their core, attacks on the health & economic security of working families." This reflects her stance against perceived threats to scientific innovation by prominent figures.

In another post from March 10, 2025, Salinas announced an upcoming telephone town hall aimed at engaging with constituents from Oregon's 6th District. She invited participation through her Facebook page: "Hey #OR06: My telephone town hall will begin shortly! Tune in to the conversation LIVE on my Facebook page."
