City of Fairview issued the following announcement on Mar. 1.
The Sheriff’s Office is committed to providing the citizens of Fairview the best service possible for all public safety needs. The Sheriff’s Office has been working through the impacts of COVID alongside our entire community, and we are looking forward to re-opening our offices in Fairview to the public. Starting in late March 2022, the front desk of the Sheriff’s Office at Fairview City Hall will be staffed and open to the public to report issues or ask questions related to public safety.
Online crime reporting platform now available. The online crime reporting link can be found on the main page of the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office webpage at MCSO.US. You will find a large link on the main page that states “Click Here to File A Police Report.” This link will guide you through the steps to file a report on non-emergency incidents where there is no immediate danger to people or property. The website has a list of crimes that can be reported to the online format. We ask that all emergency incidents continue to be reported to 911. We are hoping this will alleviate some of the issues with getting connected to the Bureau of Emergency Communications (BOEC) non-emergency lines 503-823-3333. BOEC has seen a dramatic increase in the non-emergency phone calls they receive, and they are working on a solution to ease the waiting time to report non-emergency crimes. We are hopeful a new process will be put in place to make it easier to report crimes very soon.
