The City of Gresham’s Cultural Events Grant program is accepting applications now through October 31 from local nonprofit organizations. The Cultural Events Grant funds organizations that support direct community participation through events and festivals rich in culture, education, and heritage.
"Gresham is one of the most diverse communities in the State of Oregon,” said City Manager Nina Vetter. “Supporting cultural events and the organizations that can bring them to life will allow us to not only celebrate the rich heritage within Gresham but also create a sense of belonging in our community.”
On August 16, the Gresham City Council adopted the City’s first Strategic Plan, which includes a strategic priority of community vibrancy. The Cultural Events Grant program is one way that Gresham aspires to honor the diversity of the city, nurture community pride, and foster a sense of well-being within the Gresham community.
