On March 18, 2025, Congresswoman Salinas expressed her commitment to opposing proposed budget reductions. She stated: "My @HouseDemocrats colleagues and I will continue to fight back against these & other harmful cuts." She urged constituents to learn more about the potential impacts of what she referred to as the "Republican Rip Off" on Oregon's 6th District.

Later that day, Salinas reminded her followers of an in-person town hall meeting scheduled for that evening. She tweeted: " REMINDER: You’re invited to join me TONIGHT at 6:30 PM for an in-person town hall at #McMinnville High School." The following day, March 19, 2025, Salinas criticized former President Trump and Elon Musk for allegedly bypassing legislative processes. She declared: "Congress holds the power of the purse—not President Trump, and definitely not Elon Musk." Salinas accused them of attempting unconstitutional actions aimed at reducing funding for essential programs like Medicaid.
