CITY OF MILWAUKIE: Municipal Court Offers Amnesty Program for Fines

Announcement

City of Milwaukie recently issued the following announcement. 

Through July 29, 2022, Milwaukie Municipal Court is offering an amnesty program to forgive a portion of fines owed that are in collections. Pay 50% of the balance owed at collections, and the court will write off the remaining 50%. To qualify for the program, accounts must be:

  • At collections for two years or longer.
  • A traffic, parking or marijuana violation.
  • Free of money judgments awarded to the collection agency by means of a lawsuit.
Reductions will not be given for any portion of the balance, and payment plans will not be accepted. Driver license reinstatements will be faxed to the Oregon Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) at the time notification of payment is received from the collection agency.

Payments will only be accepted in cash, money order, cashier's check or credit card. Checks are not accepted. Balance inquiries and payments must be made to:

Municipal Court Amnesty

The Milwaukie Municipal Court offers a pardon program effective until July 29, 2022 to forgive a portion of the fines owed that are in the process of collection. If you pay 50% of the balance due, the court will cancel the remaining 50%. To qualify for the program, these requirements must be met:

  • The debt must have been in collections for two years or more.
  • The debt must have been generated by a violation related to traffic, parking or marijuana.
  • The debt must not have pecuniary compensation awarded to the collection agency through a trial.
Reductions will not be offered on any part of the balance and no payment plans will be accepted. Driver's license reinstatements will be faxed to the Oregon Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) at the time notice of payment is received from the collection agency.

Only cash, money order, cashier's check or credit card will be accepted. Checks will not be accepted. Balance inquiries and payments should be sent to this address:
