Congresswoman Andrea Salinas, representing Oregon's 6th District, has been active on social media, addressing historical events and public health resources. Salinas has a history of service in the U.S. Congress since 2023 and previously served in the Oregon House of Representatives from 2017 to 2023.

On December 7, 2024, Salinas commemorated the anniversary of Pearl Harbor with a post on X.com: "Today marks 83 years since the attack at #PearlHarbor. We will always remember the many servicemembers & civilians who lost their lives on that tragic day, as well as the bravery of those who volunteered to fight for our freedom in the days that followed. #NeverForget "

Two days later, on December 9, she highlighted mental health support services by urging individuals experiencing a crisis to contact emergency services: "As always, if you are experiencing an urgent mental health crisis, please call or text 9-8-8." The tweet was also shared in Spanish.

In another tweet on December 9, Congresswoman Salinas informed her followers about a dedicated helpline for farmers seeking various forms of assistance: "¿Sabías que hay una línea directa de asistencia para agricultores? Llama al 1-800-327-6243 para obtener recursos de salud mental, ayuda después de un desastre, y otros servicios." She noted that this Spanish-language hotline operates Monday through Friday from 6 am to 2 pm PT.
