Congresswoman Andrea Salinas, representing Oregon's 6th District since 2023, shared her views on recent legislative matters through a series of tweets. These posts reflect her commitment to defending marriage equality and supporting small family farms.

On December 13, 2024, Congresswoman Salinas commemorated the second anniversary of the Respect for Marriage Act becoming federal law. She expressed pride in being part of the Equality Caucus and reaffirmed her dedication to protecting "your freedom to love and be who you are without fear of discrimination." "Two years ago, the Respect for Marriage Act became federal law–codifying justice, dignity, and respect for all Americans."

Later that day, Salinas addressed agricultural concerns within her district. She emphasized the importance of passing a Farm Bill that provides more support for small family farms. She called for bipartisanship in this effort: "Over the last two years, I've had countless conversations with growers in my district about the need to pass a Farm Bill that includes more support for small family farms."

In another tweet posted at nearly the same time, she reiterated her commitment to finding consensus among her colleagues and advancing necessary legislation. Salinas assured constituents that she remains dedicated to completing this work: "I'll continue urging my colleagues to join me at the table, find consensus, and get this long-overdue legislation across the finish line."
