CLACKAMAS COUNTY - OR: Public invited to Clackamas County Community Conversations on Climate, June 14 and 16

Meeting 08

Clackamas County - OR issued the following announcement on June 7.

Join climate modeling experts and Clackamas County staff to learn about the county’s climate action plan project and climate change impacts at two virtual Community Conversations on Climate on June 14 and June 16.

Each conversation will begin with a presentation about the climate action plan project, followed by time for questions, and discussion about the impact climate change is having in the county and ways everyone can help meet the county’s goal of being carbon neutral by 2050.

Attend a Community Conversation on Climate:

Clackamas County is developing its first ever Climate Action Plan (CAP) to guide actions needed to reduce the county’s greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and protect our environment. The goal set by the Board of County Commissioners is for the county as a whole to be carbon neutral by 2050.

Widespread participation by county residents, businesses and organizations will be critical to successful planning and to reach our goal.

For people who are not able to attend either conversation, video recordings of the meetings will be available at www.clackamas.us/sustainability/climateaction. The website includes additional information about the project and an opportunity to sign up to received project updates by email.
