Clackamas County - OR issued the following announcement on June 19.
At yesterday’s weekly business meeting of the Board of County Commissioners, Bronson Rueda was appointed to the position of Clackamas County Assessor, effective July 1.
Rueda has served as Deputy Assessor within the County Assessor’s office for several years. In last month’s primary election, he won the County Assessor position outright for a term starting in January 2023.
However, current County Assessor Tami Little is retiring at the end of this month, which left a vacancy to be filled for the next six months.
“I am excited to lead the Department of Assessment and Taxation in the administration of Oregon’s property tax system,” stated Rueda. “As the Assessor, I look forward to working with Clackamas County Commissioners, Oregon county assessors and tax collectors, the Oregon Department of Revenue, all county departments, and the Assessment and Taxation staff.”
The Assessor is one of 11 elected county positions, including the five County Commissioners, Clerk, District Attorney, Justice of the Peace, Sheriff, and Treasurer.
