HUD Continuum of Care Notice of Funding Opportunity to address unsheltered homelessness

The United States Department of Housing and Urban Development released a Special Continuum of Care Notice of Funding Opportunity to Address Unsheltered and Rural Homelessness on June 22.

Potential projects could include:

•    Permanent Supportive Housing

•    Rapid Re-housing

•    Joint Component- Transitional Housing and Rapid Rehousing

•    Supportive Services Only (including Coordinated Housing Access, Street Outreach, or other wrap-around housing services)

All agencies planning to apply are encouraged to read the NOFO in full. No currently funded projects will be considered. For more information, please email Raina Smith-Roller (rsmithroller@clackamas.us), with your name, agency and email address so she can provide you with required application documents and grant you access to the application web portal. In the email subject line, please indicate you are interested in applying for the “Special CoC NOFO.”

The deadline for project application submission is Monday, Sept. 19. Submissions will be reviewed by the Continuum of Care Steering Committee.

This special funding opportunity is separate than the annual HUD opportunity and requires a unique application process.

Funding is competitive

Clackamas County is eligible to receive up to $2,108,423 over the course of three years, meaning $702,808 annually for a three-year period. Unlike previous HUD opportunities, this is a highly competitive process where Clackamas County is not guaranteed to receive any funding.
