It's time for One Page Estacada - Family Night. Come on down to the Library to enjoy some snacks while we listen to short, inspiring readings from middle-grade and YA authors and our own young writers. Featured readers for One Page Estacada in September are Waka T. Brown, middle grade author, and Michele Ruiz Keil, young adult author.
If you're a writer under 18 (or you know of one), you can bring one page of your own writing (short story, essay, poem, theatrical monologue, song lyrics, or equivalent) to read out loud--but participation is not required!
The rules for readers (the fine print): One side of one piece of paper only--can by typed or handwritten; Must be a physical page, no reading off electronic devices; No hate speech or excessive sex or violence, please.
One Page is brought to you by the Estacada Area Arts Commission. It is always free, but donations are accepted. Everyone who comes can drop their name in for a drawing for free books at the end of the night. We will have complimentary snack food and drinks.
