Clackamas County Commissioners are seeking four volunteers interested in serving on the County’s Historic Review Board (HRB). Representation is sought from all demographic areas of the County, in accordance with ZDO Section 1307.03(D). Knowledge and/or expertise in historic preservation are encouraged for all open seats, but the County is specifically looking for someone to provide representation from a historic group within Clackamas County for one of the seats. Three seats are full four-year terms that begin on May 1, 2023 and run through April 30, 2027. The fourth seat is a partial term through April 30, 2024.
Primary duties of the seven-member board are to review applications for alterations or additions to historic landmark structures, to recommend the designation of new historic structures, and to review other land use applications involving historic landmarks. The HRB provides review and guidance to the Board of County Commissioners on matters related to historic landmarks.
For details, go to www.clackamas.us/planning/reviewboard.html. The review board meets the second Thursday evening each month as necessary via the Zoom web meeting platform.
Application deadline is Feb. 15, 2023.
