City Council Declares Vacancy

Vacancy 300x206

At the January 10, 2023 City Council meeting it was bittersweet for the City Council to accept Councilor Annessa Hartman’s resignation on the Gladstone City Council. A copy of her resignation can be accessed HERE. We wish State Representative Hartman all the best with her new position and look forward to our continued partnership at an elevated level.

The City Council then declared a vacancy on the council and will fill the vacant seat in accordance with Gladstone Municipal Code 4.03. For those interested in the interim term, the application can be accessed below and the deadline to submit is Thursday, February 2, 2023 at 4:00 p.m.

The interim term will continue until a Special Election on November 7, 2023 where candidates may file for election to fill the remainder of the unexpired term to expire 12-31-2024.

For questions or to submit an application, please contact Tami Bannick at bannick@ci.gladstone.or.us or 503-557-2769.
