Memorial service for fallen Gresham firefighter, Brandon Norbury

B27

The memorial service to honor Gresham Firefighter Brandon Norbury is planned for Wednesday, February 15 at 1:00 pm. The service will be held at East Hill Church Auditorium Building, 701 North Main Avenue, Gresham, OR 97030. A small procession of local fire and law enforcement vehicles will bring Firefighter Norbury and his family members to the service.

Gresham Fire is asking that the public pay their respects along the procession route if they would like to do so as seating will be limited at the event venue. Public viewing along the procession route will be available on Northwest Eastman Parkway, between Northwest Division and West Powell Boulevard. The estimated time for the procession to pass through the public viewing area will be between 12:30 -12:50 pm. We ask that the public use caution, stays on sidewalks, and remains out of the roadway. View the procession route

The service will also be available for viewing through live stream and more details will be sent out next week regarding that.

Firefighter Norbury suffered cardiac arrest while in the line of duty and did not survive despite receiving emergency medical attention. “This is a difficult time for our Gresham firefighters. We truly appreciate the support from our community members and the Oregon fire service. Brandon devoted his entire life to public service from being a Navy SEAL, a Gresham Police Officer, and spending the last 15 years as a Gresham Firefighter. This is a tremendous loss”, Gresham Fire Chief Scott Lewis said.

We estimate a large presence of fire service and law enforcement personnel with vehicles. Please be aware that parking will be limited around the event site.
