Congresswoman Andrea Salinas, representing Oregon's 6th District since 2023, shared updates on her recent activities and engagements through a series of tweets. Salinas has a background in the Oregon House of Representatives and holds a degree from the University of California, Berkeley.

On January 22, 2025, Salinas expressed her commitment to serving as Ranking Member of the Forestry & Horticulture Subcommittee. She stated, "I am honored to continue serving as Ranking Member of the Forestry & Horticulture Subcommittee! I will work to ensure that Oregonians and all Americans have a seat at the table as we consider ways to prevent wildfires, responsibly manage our forests, and support our growers."

Later that day, she addressed her vote against a bill concerning border security and community safety. She tweeted on January 22, 2025: "I just got off the House floor, where I voted no on a misleading bill that will do nothing to secure our borders, make our communities safer, or prevent violence against women. Watch the full video to hear why "

On January 23, 2025, Salinas highlighted her meeting with local officials in McMinnville. She noted in her tweet: "It was a pleasure meeting with Mayor Kim Morris & city officials in #McMinnville last week. We talked about important local issues & how we can work together to address them. I look forward to collaborating with Mayor Morris & other local leaders to get things done for #OR06."
