Congresswoman Andrea Salinas, who has represented Oregon's 6th District in the U.S. Congress since 2023, recently took to social media to express her views on issues affecting veterans and workers' rights. Salinas, a University of California, Berkeley graduate, previously served in the Oregon House of Representatives.

On March 6, 2025, Congresswoman Salinas voiced her strong opposition to comments made by the Trump Administration regarding veterans. She stated, "This is disgusting. As the daughter of a U.S. Marine, I know that our veterans are among the most patriotic & hardworking folks out there. It's outrageous for the Trump Administration to suggest that our heroes are unworthy of their jobs."

Later that day, she tweeted about her support for the bipartisan PRO Act, emphasizing its significance in protecting workers' rights. Salinas wrote on March 6, 2025: "The bipartisan #PROAct: Establishes penalties for employers who violate workers’ rights Strengthens workers’ power to negotiate Secures workers’ rights to decide for themselves whether to form a union."

Additionally, Salinas highlighted discrepancies in penalties related to labor law violations. On March 6, 2025, she pointed out that "The fine for double parking is currently higher than the fine for violating workers’ right to organize. That is why I am proud to support the bipartisan #PROAct to strengthen America’s labor laws and ensure big corporations are held accountable for breaking the law."
