Congresswoman Andrea Salinas, representing Oregon's 6th District since 2023, recently addressed several issues through her social media platform. Salinas has been an active voice in Congress and previously served in the Oregon House of Representatives from 2017 to 2023.
On March 24, 2025, Salinas criticized the limited access to Social Security services in certain counties. She stated, "There is only ONE @SocialSecurity office serving over 550,000 people in Marion, Polk, and Yamhill counties. It's absurd that Trump and Elon Musk are forcing seniors to travel long distances and face delays—just to get a paycheck they earned and deserve."
The following day, on March 25, she expressed concern about national security management. She tweeted, "Incompetence is an understatement. This is an egregious violation of our national security by the people who are supposed to protect it. Americans deserve full confidence in their leaders. I urge my Senate colleagues to hold these officials accountable during today's hearing."
Later that same day, she highlighted bipartisan cooperation within Congress as a positive development amidst political division. She remarked, "During such highly polarized times, I am glad that my colleagues on both sides of the aisle were able to come together, and as a member of the @ScienceDems I will continue working to advance commonsense policies like these."
