Congresswoman Andrea Salinas, representing Oregon's 6th District since 2023, has been vocal on social media regarding recent developments affecting her constituents. Her tweets focus on issues related to the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and broader political concerns involving high-profile figures.

On March 11, 2025, Congresswoman Salinas shared a letter addressed to IRS Acting Commissioner Melanie Krause. She encouraged her followers to "Read our letter to IRS Acting Commissioner Melanie Krause here ".

In another tweet posted on the same day, she highlighted a potential closure of Salem's only IRS office by Elon Musk. Salinas expressed concern that this action would hinder Oregonians' ability to file taxes efficiently during tax season. She stated that she and Representative Bynum have called upon the IRS to prevent this closure in order to maintain access to essential in-person services: "Elon Musk wants to close Salem's only IRS office—making it harder for Oregonians to file their taxes in a timely manner."

Later that day, Congresswoman Salinas thanked nearly 7,000 participants who joined her telephone town hall meeting. The event featured special guest Representative Raskin and covered topics such as the impacts of policies from President Biden and Elon Musk: "Thank you to the nearly 7,000 Oregonians who joined my telephone town hall last night..."
